Holes, by Sachar, Louis (Borrow)

Louis Sarchar wrote many good books but this is best one. This is a story about a boy called Stanley, who is accused of stealing Clyde Livingston, a baseball player’s shoes. He was brought to trial and was declared guilty. The judge presented him two options, one to go to prison, two to go to Camp Green Lake. Stanley chose to go to Camp Green Lake.

The trip to Camp Green Lake took eight hours. When he arrived, he met one of the camp counselors, Mr.Sir. Mr.Sir told him to grab a shovel and start digging a hole. He also meet the group D boys. One of them was named Zero. In the first couple of days, he found a heart shaped tube that had the initials K B on it. After a couple of weeks of digging, Zero ran away. Then eventually, Stanley went to go after Zero. When he met Zero, they decided to go to the thumb in the distance. When they reached there, there was water. They both drank a lot of it. Then they decided to go back to Camp Green Lake. They waited in a hole until it was dark. Then they grabbed a shovel and dug where Stanley found a golden tube and then they found a suitcase. The next day, Stanley’s lawyer came. The Warden of Camp Green Lake said that they stole the suitcase out of her cabin. The lawyer picked up the suitcase and asked why Stanley’s name was on it. The Lawyer said that Stanley was going back to the city. Stanley asked if they could take Zero with him. The Lawyer asked for Zero’s files. They couldn’t find it. So, Zero and Stanley out of Camp Green Lake and live a good life based on the fortune from the suitcase and Stanley's dad's invention to prevent feet odor.

This is a well written story connecting the past and the current people and places. The story turns in to a movie(Hole on YouTube) in 2003.

Be the Top in the Class
Fighting to get into the best university? It's hard! And.. is it really necessary?

Malcolm Gladwell in his book, David and Goliath: Underdogs, Misfits, and the Art of Battling Giants, expresses his thoughts on what works the best for university selection. He claims that it works best if attending a university where you can be in the top third of your class, so you can be more likely to stick to your filed and have a prosperous life than if you attend a prestigious institution where you can only be an average student. This is like

Keep the Cost Low
Don't make the education becoming a debt creation for you and your family. University eduction costs can leave a big financial burden on your shoulder.  We all have learned to spend based on what we earn. For university education, you should also think about if you can pay off your debt with 5 years after your graduation.  Choose something affordable to you and your family. Have a good start of life after graduation.
