Do you have stacks of books on the shelf and haven't read them after years? It clutters your house and makes you feel unaccomplished whenever they are in sight. Here are some strategies to tackle this problem.

1. Borrow books
It would help if you were strategic to avoid piling books at home. Use your local and university libraries more. They are always too many books to buy. You can also consider by electrical readers such as kindle or iPad to save the shelf space.

2. Speed read and decide to keep or give away
Learn speed reading skills to get the main idea of the book quickly. Then, determine if you need to dive deep or read multiple times later. Take your bookshelf as a place for your collection. Choose carefully.

3. Keep a reading journal to remind your findings
Reading a book may sparks some great ideas. Write them down so that you can remember the moments and can look back again.

4. Make a plan to avoid procrastination
The main reason for many unread books is procrastination. To prevent it, you can create a plan, pull a pile of books that you need to make a decision, and speed-read them one by one with limited time.

It might take some time to clean up your book clutter, but it feels terrific after that.
